In recognition of Qatar Airways commencing their inaugural Auckland to Doha service on Tuesday 07 Feb, we welcome a new Oneworld member airline to our Auckland skies, making this the world’s longest flight operated by the Boeing 777-200 LR (17.5hours).
Expect Qatar Airways to be a key disrupter in the New Zealand and Australian markets, to European destinations in particular. With daily departures ex Auckland (and Sydney/Melbourne) to Doha and seamless connections via the state-of-the-art hub, Hamad International Airport, onto over 150 destinations, currently including 40 European cities, with Skopje, Nice & Sarajevo coming online in 2017, making this one of the fastest growing airlines operating one of the youngest fleets in the world.
